About CargoSum

CargoSum started as an internal tool built by people who spent years in ocean freight — running CBM sheets, container stuffing plans and chargeable weight calculations every day, usually against a deadline, usually in a spreadsheet someone else had half-broken.

That first calculator turned a five-minute manual calculation into something instant, and it kept getting used long after anyone expected it to. The people behind CargoSum went on to build freight and container logistics software — which shaped how these tools are made: not just how the math is done by hand, but how it should work as software operations people can actually trust.

CargoSum is what that internal calculator grew into: a set of free, no-signup tools for the calculations forwarders, shippers and importers run constantly — CBM, chargeable weight, container loading, pallet counts and freight class. Every number is computed in your browser, sourced from published industry standards, and built to be checked against your own carrier's figures before you rely on it.

CargoSum is a Rivly product.
